One Vermont
A coalition working to improve Vermonters’ lives by building strong public structures
While there is no safe level of lead, Vermont children continue to be exposed. Young children are particularly vulnerable to lead as it has permanent effects on their developing brains. The primary source of lead exposure is lead-based paint in pre-1978 housing and surrounding soil.
