Published February 11, 2009Several hundred protesters turned out to tell the Governor and legislators that over $60 million in budget cuts is enough. They sent a message that other options need to be looked at — such as raising more revenue, tapping into the rainy day fund, and using money from the federal stimulus to it’s full potential — so that further cuts don’t shortchange our kids, leave vulnerable Vermonters behind, and decimate public structures we will wish we had in a few years.
