Voices Together: Collective Action for Vermont's Youth [Virtual Kickoff]

  • Voices for Vermont's Children (map)

We know that the most effective policy solutions come from those working closest to communities. This effort will create a structured opportunity for young people, caregivers, community-based organizations and advocates to shape both voter engagement in 2026 and a strong, community-informed policy agenda for 2027. You can register for the virtual meeting HERE.

Why Join?

  • Ensure the realities facing your communities are reflected in statewide policy conversations

  • Contribute to shaping advocacy that is grounded in lived experience, not just statistics

  • Help influence how economic justice issues are communicated to voters and policymakers

  • Build relationships with partners working toward shared goals across Vermont

What we’re building together
Through a series of virtual sessions, participants will

  • Surface real experiences and challenges facing families in accessing housing, food, income, transportation, and other basic needs.

  • Translate those experiences into policy priorities and advocacy strategies

  • Co-create a voter guide and engagement tools grounded in community voice

What participation looks like

  • Opportunities to engage in co-design sessions in May and June

  • Structured space to connect with peers and align across sectors

  • Direct pathways for participant input to inform Voices’ advocacy and communications

Please note that compensation is available for youth or caregivers who are participating in a personal capacity. Please indicate you are interested in a meeting stipend on the Zoom registration.
